BOOK REVIEW: A Lil’ Less Lost by Tara Oakes

A Lil’ Less Lost (The Kingsmen M.C. #2) by Tara Oakes

4 Stars

Book #2 in The Kingsmen M.C. picks up where #1 left off as Jay is relieved to discover the body at the morgue is not Lil’s.  If you haven’t read A Lil Less Broken then you need to start there as this is a continuation of the story. [Book Review & Buy Links for #1, click HERE]

With Shade out of control and losing support of his fellow Slayers, opinions differ on the best course of action to rescue Lil’s. Jay’s father, the Kingsmen President wants to handle it one way, but Jay will do whatever it takes to get Lil’s back safe.  Neither plan is without risks, especially when Shade’s girl Vicky is part of Jay’s plan and some of his boys keep getting distracted getting laid.  And after it all goes down, can the boys keep the police out of their business and the details?

There is danger, excitement, and a touching and steamy reunion. Once again we are also treated to scenes from Jay and Lil’s past, and there are some really sweet scenes.

This installment is told via Jay, Lil’s, and a few sections by Clink and Charlotte/Charlie, a nurse from the hospital who plays a slightly mysterious role. I personally liked #1 just a tad better as I preferred Lil’s and Jay’s POV rather than Clink and Charlotte’s sexual exploits, but it’s only a small section in the overall story.

There is no cliffhanger this time although some groundwork is laid for the next book. The Kingsmen M.C. #3 is coming up in December 2014.
