SALE: Fall With Me by Jayne Frost

Series: Sixth Street Bands #2
Genre: New Adult
Release Date: December 15, 2016

~Blurb~

As the bassist for the band Caged, the last three years have been one, long non-stop party. Sure, I’ve had some regrets. Everyone does. But getting trapped in a relationship isn’t one of them. I know good and well what happens when the attraction fades. I’ve seen it first hand. Love is a zero sum game, so why play? As long as I'm upfront about my feelings, no one gets hurt. Besides, I'm never in one place long enough to worry about tomorrow.

That is, until the band decided to take an extended hiatus in our hometown. That’s when I met Melody Sullivan. She’s the full-package. Whip smart and beautiful, with enough determination to take on anything life has in store. And the best part? Melody shares my philosophy on the fleeting nature of attraction. She doesn’t buy into the whole “happily ever after” crap anymore than I do. We’re perfect for each other. For now. And now is all I want.

With the expectations off the table, I can let my guard down and enjoy her company until the spark dies. And we both know it will. In a week, or a month. But until then, we’ll just keep having fun. The good kind, with lots of sex and no strings attached. And when it’s time to move on, we will. No drawn out goodbyes and no remorse.

That’s the plan, at least.

Note: Though part of the Sixth Street Bands Series, it can be enjoyed as a standalone. Recommended for 18+ for adult content and language.

#3 Missing From Me
#4 Lost for You

So…Who is Jayne?

As a writer you would think that would be a simple question…but it’s not. I spend so much time living in my characters heads, listening to their voices, that sometimes I forget about my own.

I guess I should start with the basics: the backstory. I was born and raised in California. At this point, I’m usually asked what it was like to grow up near the beach, but sadly, I don’t know. I grew up in the “other” part of California. Perfect for an aspiring writer, if you ask me. You learn a lot about keeping yourself busy when the nearest house is a mile away…and it belongs to your grandparents.

I spent all my time with my nose in a book, living vicariously through the characters, until I wrote a book of my own. I was ten at the time. It was a scintillating piece that cast the family pet as the protagonist.

By the time I went to high school, I moved on to romance. Why? Because I met my very own prince charming. I wrote love poems in my journal about the green-eyed boy who stole my heart. He promised, the way all storybook heroes do, to sweep me away and take me on a grand adventure. And he did.

We picked up and moved to the Lone Star State and began the story of us. The best stories begin without a road map or a compass. Veering off course makes the journey so much more interesting.

True to form, just when I thought my life was set, we started the next adventure. I traded in my cowboy boots and followed my green-eyed boy to Las Vegas. My home will always be in Texas, but my heart is anywhere that he is. Our beautiful daughter made the journey with us. Our son stayed in Texas, to write his own story.

Somehow, in the midst of the chaos that is our life, I find time to write. Writing is what I love. I might stray from romance every now and then if that is what moves me…but I always come back. Some of the stories don’t seem romantic at all. They are gritty stories about flawed characters that find each other and hold on tight. Those are the stories that speak to me. Because that’s life. I believe that every story should have a happy ending—even the difficult ones.

BOOK REVIEW: Where I Belong (Alabama Summer #1) by J. Daniels
 4.75 Stars

At 23 and without a boyfriend, Mia is determined to start off her summer by finally losing her virginity. Her plan is to find a cute and willing guy at a bar for a one night stand during her first night back in Alabama. She does not plan on it being her best friend’s brother, the boy who tormented her early teen years.

Told from alternating 1st person POV of Mia Corelli and Ben Kelly, Where I Belong is a perfect blend of a cute story with some touches of humor, hot love scenes, and a sweet developing romance. Mia and Ben have a lot of chemistry and it shows from their first encounter.  Ben must prove that he’s not the same jerk he was as a teen, and Mia must get past how the comments Ben’s former self made left her feeling.

There are cute twists with Ben’s profession and his personal life. And the plot’s climax at the end has just enough excitement without it being too much drama.

There were some places where the characters seemed younger than they were supposed to be. And there was one item I wish would have been developed a little—what the heck did Mia and Tessa do for a living?  At 23 I assumed they were out of college yet they acted like they were just on summer break.  I’m hoping the next book explains what the girls do for jobs when the summer ends.

But all in all, it’s an adorable, well paced story with no cheating, no cliffhanger, and a HEA. A very promising start to a new series. All I Want, Tessa (Ben’s sister/Mia’s friend) and Luke’s story, releases November 24th. So stayed tuned for a review of book two or check out the cover reveal now.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW: Anna Zaires

It's just 1 day away from the release of Keep Me, the sequel to Anna Zaire's Twist Me!  To wet your appetite for the newest installment of Julian and Nora, the blog spoke with Anna about the books.

5 Questions with Author Anna Zaires

Q1. Twist Me was such a hypnotic read. It just pulls you into the story, and I love how you showed Nora’s internal conflict between the reality of her situation and her attraction to Julian. Where did the inspiration for the plot and the characters come from? Was it based off any real news headlines?

A. No, not really, although I’m aware of these types of headlines. Who isn't, right? Real-world stuff like this is awful, and I wouldn't wish Nora's situation on anyone. What’s fascinating in fiction is usually horrifying in reality, and real-life kidnappers are generally nothing like Julian. Having said that, I must admit that I’ve always been intrigued by captive-themed (now known as dark) romances. When I was a teenager, I discovered bodice rippers from the eighties, and I absolutely devoured them. Something about those books really resonated with me. In a way, Twist Me is a modern-day version of those novels, although it’s more psychological in nature. Nora is aware of the wrongness of what’s being done to her, and she never completely forgets the fact that Julian is her kidnapper—which makes for an interesting dynamic as she begins to fall under his spell.

Q2. Twist Me was from Nora’s point of view. Keep Me is going to be from both. How was it writing from both of their perspectives this time? Was one easier or harder to write?

A. Oh, Julian’s POV was definitely harder. While I can see bits and pieces of myself in Nora, Julian is almost my polar opposite. He’s ruthless and amoral, yet there is something about him that draws you in. It wasn’t easy getting into his head—though once he let me in there, it was quite the experience.

Book-Bosomed Book Blog: You did a great job with Julian!

Q3. Julian is dark and mysterious and he doesn’t “date,” but Nora spent over a year with him. In that time what kinds of “normal” things did she gradually learn about him that would have otherwise come naturally had he actually dated her? Does Julian ever just sit back and watch a movie, read a book? What can you tell us about Julian’s favorite things?

A. You’ll learn about a couple of those things in Keep Me. In general, though, their relationship is still developing, and I would like you to discover more about Julian alongside with Nora. Otherwise, you’ll know more than she does, and she’ll get jealous :).

Q4. Do you have any favorite scenes from either Twist Me or Keep Me?  Ones that you thought were particularly profound to Nora and Julian’s relationship or just ones that were fun to write?

A. Oh, absolutely. I think the birthday scene in Twist Me is a pivotal point in their relationship, and it was one of my favorite ones to write. In Keep Me, there are several very intense scenes, both action-wise and relationship-wise, and I could definitely feel my adrenaline surging as I was writing them. I won’t say more, so as not to give spoilers, but there is also one sex scene that is my favorite out of all I’ve written to date :).

Q5. What brought you to the decision to give Nora and Julian a third book? (Any hints about it?) And how does Hold Me play into your release schedule for 2015? Will it be before or after White Nights, which is previewed at the end of Keep Me?

A. I have a super-long blog post on this subject, actually:  http://www.annazaires.com/1/post/2014/09/will-there-be-twist-me-3.html.
As to the timing of book releases, that’s always a tricky question with me. I think I’ll play it by ear for now and see which book flows easier before I commit definitively to one book or the other coming out first :D.

Thank you so much Anna!  Both books are well done and looking forward to Hold Me as well!

SALE: Twist Me & Keep Me by Anna Zaires

Book-Bosomed Book Blog recommends the Twist Me series by Anna Zaires. Twist Me is on sale for an amazing 99 cents and Keep Me is being offered at a discount for pre-orders! Keep Me releases in two weeks so there isn't a better time to pick up a copy of Twist Me if you haven't read it and get engrossed in Nora and Julian's story.

TWIST ME (Twist Me, #1)

Kidnapped. Taken to a private island.

I never thought this could happen to me. I never imagined one chance meeting on the eve of my eighteenth birthday could change my life so completely.

Now I belong to him. To Julian. To a man who is as ruthless as he is beautiful—a man whose touch makes me burn. A man whose tenderness I find more devastating than his cruelty.

My captor is an enigma. I don’t know who he is or why he took me. There is a darkness inside him—a darkness that scares me even as it draws me in.

My name is Nora Leston, and this is my story.

KEEP ME (Twist Me, #2)

Abducted at eighteen. Held captive for 15 months.

It reads like one of those headlines. And yes, I did it. I stole her. Nora, with her long dark hair and silky skin. She’s my weakness, my obsession.

I’m not a good man. I never pretended to be one. She can love me, but she can’t change me.

I can, however, change her.

My name is Julian Esguerra, and Nora is mine to keep.

***Keep Me is the sequel to Twist Me, told from Nora & Julian’s POV.***

Allure by Lacey Weatherford

Want a sweet and sexy read where there are “no head games, no playing hard to get,” AND there’s Six Jagger— tattoo artist by day and exotic dancer by night!  Allure is a great story about trust, communication, and faithfulness.

Told from Six and Brooklyn’s alternating 1st person POV, it is a stand alone book. No cliffhanger. HEA.

Bite & Release by Cory Cyr

Looking for an ornery boy to bite you? Then Shea Michaels is your man! Ryan Chase might be a bit down on her luck but she has the attention and the heart of one Alaskan hot hunk.  It’s bone cold in Fairbanks
but their love scenes are hot and sizzling...and plentiful.

1st person POV told by Ryan. HEA w/an epilogue that provides some sweet news.

Hard Rock Arrangement (The Lonely Lion Kings #1) by Ava Lore

Like your males a little alpha? Like your rockers in suits? Then Kent Hudson is your man.

The story is often funny and keeps the readers on their toes. You think it’s going to go one direction, but then it surprises you and goes another—in a good way. It’s a plot that’s far from predictable. The encounters between Rebecca and Kent are steamy, and the themes of true friendship and standing up for yourself leave you closing the book with a smile on your face. The drama is mainly for fun, not angst.

1st person POV told by Rebecca. No cliffhanger. HEA/HFN.
