REVIEW/RELEASE BLITZ: Crash Ride by T. Gephart

~Synopsis~

Megan Winters had lusted over Troy Harris, drummer for international rock band Power Station, for years. Not being the type of girl who was invited backstage, her fantasies had stayed just that, fantasies. When her best friend unexpectedly starts dating one of the other band members it puts her on a crash course at war with her libido. Her solution— they need to have sex. Surely once she had scratched that itch, and saw the fantasy didn’t live up to the reality she
could move on. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?

Troy Harris vowed to stay away from Megs. The sexy, smart and funny blonde left his mind and his body feeling like a pretzel. No matter how attracted he was to her, she was a no-go zone. The best friend of his best friend’s girlfriend? Cue the reality show. But when she gives him the chance to have a one-night no strings good time, there was no way he could turn that down. Maybe she was right. One night, and then they could go back to being just friends.

Both of them were delusional.

BOOK REVIEW
4.25 Stars

We first met Megs and Troy in High Strung when Troy’s band mate Dan fell for Megs’s best friend Ashlyn. As a stand alone series you don’t need a copy of High Strung to follow this story (although it’s a hilariously funny and sexy book so I recommend you read it too). What you do need to read Crash Ride is a fan. Or simply turn on the air conditioning. No, I’m not crazy. It might be February, but by only 14% in you are going to need to cool yourself down because T. Gephart does an amazing job with the steam factor in these books!
“The charge coming off our bodies would have been enough to power a small country. Energy crisis solved.”
Troy Harris is totally swoon-worthy!
“‘I’ll give you everything you need, and things you didn’t even know you did.’”
He’s sweet, sexy, easy going, and funny but in a much more laid back way than Dan Evans (not that I didn’t also adore Dan). With a Mohawk and pierced you-know-what, he also nails the rock drummer vibe. It won’t take long till you’ll be wishing you were the one screaming “Harder Troy Harris.”
“Maybe Troy’s penis had a in-built flux capacitor and zipped us through the time-space continuum. His talented cock knew no end.”
Dr. Megan Winters is funny too—sometimes she comes off a bit ditzy and I had a little trouble reconciling her personality with her deeper professional job as a psychologist.  Their banter kept them entertaining though it was clear that Troy was the more mature, down-to-Earth one while Megs went a little immature at times.

The majority of the book is very light-hearted, funny, and extremely sexy. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud lines. The climax, however, changes the tone of the book a bit. I honestly didn’t see the initial twist coming and then what happens with that situation is definitely a downer. Though everything works out in the end, it slightly shifted the feel of their otherwise upbeat story.  Most people will just recognize it for the plot point that it is but having had several friends experience this I will note that it could be a sensitive subject for some readers.

Dan and Ash from High Strung make appearance as they prepare for their nuptials, and the Power Station stories aren’t over yet. Hold on to your drum sticks and guitar picks, Jase’s book is coming out next!

High Strung BOOK REVIEW

~Author Bio~

T Gephart is an indie author from Melbourne, Australia. T's approach to life has been somewhat unconventional. Rather than going to University, she jumped on a plane to Los Angeles, USA in search of adventure. While this first trip left her somewhat underwhelmed and largely depleted of funds it fueled her appetite for travel and life experience.

With a rather eclectic resume, which reads more like the fiction she writes than an actual employment history, T struggled to find her niche in the world.

While on a subsequent trip the United States in 1999, T met and married her husband. Their whirlwind courtship and interesting impromptu convenience store wedding set the tone for their life together, which is anything but ordinary. They have lived in Louisiana, Guam and Australia and have traveled extensively throughout the US. T has two beautiful young children and one four legged child, Woodley, the wonder dog.

An avid reader, T became increasingly frustrated by the lack of strong female characters in the books she was reading. She wanted to read about a woman she could identify with, someone strong, independent and confident and who didn't lack femininity. Out of this need, she decided to pen her first book, A Twist of Fate. T set herself the challenge to write something that was interesting, compelling and yet easy enough to read that was still enjoyable. Pulling from her own past "colorful" experiences and the amazing personalities she has surrounded herself with, she had no shortage of inspiration. With a strong slant on erotic fiction, her core characters are empowered women who don't have to sacrifice their femininity. She enjoyed the process so much that when it was over she couldn't let it go.

T loves to travel, laugh and surround herself with colorful characters. This inevitably spills into her writing and makes for an interesting journey - she is well and truly enjoying the ride!

Based on her life experiences, T has plenty of material for her books and has a wealth of ideas to keep you all enthralled.
