About the blog title:
What the heck is book-bosomed, you ask? Well, if you are not familiar it’s a term in Sir Walter Scott’s 1805 poem, The Lay of the Last Minstrel, referring to a person with a book clutched to their chest, a true lover of books if you will. I thought it was cool for a romance blog (after all there are usually lots of bosoms described in the books), and while a rather old term, fitting for 21st century romance reading babes. Picture a line of fans at an author signing clutching a copy of their favorite read to their bra buddies. ;-) Or maybe they're clutching their Kindles. It is the 21st century.

The Laborit quote is one I’ve always liked. I also think
it’s pretty fitting when we think of the time we spend engrossed in a really
good read. Everyone needs a little
escape now and again, whether because of a bad day or a news story that
depressed you. One of the great things about literature is its ability to take
you to another world, if only for a little while. Hopefully, when you come back
you have a smile on your face. It’s why I’m a sucker for lighthearted romances with swoon-worthy heroes, and a HEA is a must!
About me:
I created this blog to share some of my favorite reads, connect with authors and other readers, and discover new books. I’m a wife. I’m a mom. I’ve always loved to read. I hold a bachelor and masters degree in English, and I worked in the publishing field for almost a decade doing a little bit of everything so I know how various aspects of the publishing industry works.

I may have spent my college years dissecting the canon of English literature, but now days I read for fun, pleasure, and a bit of escape. I like my stories with happy endings; there are enough sad stories and depressing facts in the news every day. That’s not to say that I like romances that are all hearts and flowers, sunshine and unicorns. I don’t. I’m not bothered by mature content, strong language, or explicit sexual scenes between the H and h. I do not tolerate cheating between the main couple or sex scenes with other people. Rape and sexual assault is a big no-no for me in romance. (See the blog's editorial post HERE.) I like an engaging story with interesting characters that for a few hours provides a little escape. If you do too, than the titles featured here might just be for you too.

Hi! I found your last statement here interesting. I used to love to read the classics, too, but anymore I seem to lack the energy to concentrate that hard. I still love to read, like you, for entertainment. Make me feel, make me laugh, make me think, a little, and I'm your girl! I also read your review policy and would like to submit but couldn't find an email address. Love the look of your blog, especially the header.
