~Synopsis~
Adam James is a corn-fed, Nebraska raised, piece of man meat with a chiseled body and baby face. He is in desperate need of a paycheck and will do just about anything to get one, including stripping down to his skivvies and lathering up in baby oil.Solo Cohan is a quirky hipster with a strong work ethic, raised by two gay dads who are head over heels in love with Harrison Ford and Star Wars, hence the name, Solo. She works for Teeg Model Management, the same modeling agency that decides to book Adam as their next up and coming model. Sparks ignite between her and Adam the minute her baby oil soaked hand connects with his practically naked body.
Even though Solo can't stop thinking about Adam during photo shoots, she quickly and awkwardly, shows Adam her distaste for male models and her inability to engage romantically with them. Adam is captivated by her nerdy talk and peculiar tendencies and sets out to make it his mission to turn the Star Wars loving hipster to the dark side, where mingling with models is widely arousing.

Modeling doesn’t exactly feel like Adam (soon to be a celebrity named Axel) James’s calling, but it’s a way to pay the bills and he
has some serious ones mounting. He
endures a “grueling” interview process….
“‛How long is your penis?’
Was she for real? When did how long is your penis and how many times do you work out become casual questions in a job interview?”
But he’s rewarded with a job and meeting the girl
who might just be his perfect match.
Solo Cohan might be surrounded by hot guys 24/7
working as a PR pro for a modeling company, but she has her reason for not
getting involved. She’s quirky; he’s
down to earth. With plenty of shared interests, they are perfect for each
other.
Adam does some major wooing to get Solo to give them
a chance. Adam is totally adorable, a real swoon-worthy book boyfriend. If you’re looking for an alternative to the
popular manwhore hero, then Adam certainly fits the bill.
“I was different. I enjoyed having a girlfriend, someone I could talk to, hold, and spoil.”
Ah, isn’t he a sweetie? And for the record he has quite the package that he refers to as "Just-in Beaver." ;-)
There's plenty of cute exchanges as well as sexy
times. I’ll admit that at one point I began to fear the story (and a particular
character) was headed in a clichéd route, but alas it wasn’t and the person it
had to do with turned out to be someone that now I’d be interested in reading
in their own story. That’s not to say
there isn’t misunderstandings that, with a little more maturity, Solo and
Adam could have easily avoided. But overall it’s a cute and sexy story.
Plenty of supporting characters offer potential and possibilities
for their own books. I’m not sure if this is going to be a series or not, but
the groundwork is certainly there. For
now it’s a stand-alone, HEA, told via their alternating 1st person POV.
Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
