REVIEW/RELEASE: The Art of Stealing Hearts by Stella London

Series: Love and Art #1
Genre: Contemporary Romance

~Blurb~

“The bid is at five million dollars. Going once…”

This morning, I was waiting tables and dreaming of an internship at San Francisco’s most famous auction house. Now I have my paddle in the air, bidding more money than I can imagine for a priceless painting – and all because of him.

“Going twice…”

Charles St. Clair is a famous British billionaire, and the most seductive man I’ve ever met. I can’t get him out of my head, and he’s not letting me get away. He’s offered the chance of a lifetime, all I need to do is say ‘yes’.

“Sold, to the lady in the front row!”

Things like this don’t happen to girls like me – or do they? All I know is, I’m going to enjoy the ride.
~Book Review~
3.5/4 Stars

Grace Bennett is a waitress with an art degree trying to find a break in the art industry. When she stumbles into art connoisseur Charles St. Clair her luck begins to change.

I’m feeling a mixed bag with this one. So let’s break it down this way:

What I liked…
Well Charles to top the list! He’s British; he’s dashing; he has an air of mystery to him alongside a striking mix of down-to-Earth and lifestyles of the rich & famous all rolled into one. He’s a sexy gentleman; no hints of a manwhore here which was very refreshing.
I also liked the intrigue aspect of the story. While at first the details of the art world were bogging me down, once I saw the art mystery evolve, I wanted to keep reading to see where it went.

Which leads me into what I didn’t like …
This is not a complete story.  I honestly didn’t know it was a serial till I received the ARC. I much prefer a stand-alone of some degree. As it is, this is kinda short and stops just when it seems to be taking off.
With that in mind, I hope the next installment, The Art of Stealing Kisses, has...well a lot more kisses for one! And a lot more sexy times as, again, this part stops just as it is heating up. I’m also hoping to see Grace stand up to that snooty bunch. There were enough instances in this one where I wanted Grace to get a bigger backbone.

For now, I’m interested to see where it goes. It’s fairly upbeat, plays on the Cinderella theme, and blends romance and light mystery. Told entirely from Grace’s first person POV, it has a bit of a chick lit tone to it, unfortunately; but the story has potential.

~Excerpt~

Part of him wanted to ask if he could take another kiss as repayment. It surprised him just how much he still savored the first one. Not just because it was so hot, but because for those few seconds against her lips, all worry about his mama was pushed to the back of his mind. He’d become lost in the taste and feel of her, and he desperately needed to get lost all over again. That was why he hadn’t gone home right away after the reception. Brandon had walked into that hotel bar looking for some sort of remedy for his pain, something to help him forget about what he’d have to deal with tomorrow and in the coming weeks. The tequila mixed with some Daisy could be the potent antidote he was looking for.

He reached for the bottle of tequila but she grabbed it before he could and examined the label. “Damn. This must’ve cost you a pretty penny.”

He shrugged. “Some things in life are worth it.”

“Sure. Things like food and a house or a car. Only a rich person could justify spending a small fortune on a bottle of alcohol that, based on the amount of shots we’ve done so far, isn’t even going to last one night.”

“Why must you always over-analyze things?”

He saw her bristle at his accusation. “I’m not. All I’m saying is that money can’t buy you happiness.”

“Sure it can. Money bought me this bottle of tequila which is making me very happy.”

She studied him for a second before shaking her head. “You’re hopeless, you know that?”

“And you’re killing my buzz. God, Daisy, for once in your life can you not worry about how much something costs or why someone is offering it to you? Can’t you just drink and enjoy?”

Man, she was getting under his skin tonight. In more ways than one. He could blame the tequila and the rotten news he’d received. Although the truth was, the woman knew how to push his buttons. When she wasn’t making him crazy hot, she was making him crazy. Especially when she criticized his lifestyle. He worked his ass off to get the things he had. So what if he liked to indulge now and then? Who was she to judge him?

He expected her to either argue with him again or get up and leave. So he was surprised when she did neither.

“Fine,” she said with a sigh. “I’ll sit here and enjoy your expensive tequila. Although I think it would be ten times better with some salt and limes.”

“Aye Daisy, this isn’t some race where the goal is to drink as much as you can as fast as you can. No, you need to take your time with this tequila. It deserves to be savored and tasted thoroughly.”

As if she wanted to taste it again, she licked her lips. The memory of those lips against his made him shift in his seat. Brandon snuck another look at the way her tanned cleavage strained against the fabric of her pale-colored dress, and the way wisps of her dark hair framed her smooth neck. He couldn’t deny the very hard effect she was having on his body. He wanted her. Correction. He needed her.

Because anything that made him forget about his trip to Puerto Rico the next day—even if only for a few hours—was a welcomed distraction. He needed Daisy Robles naked and underneath him as soon as possible.

Easier said than done, of course. He’d already pissed her off once tonight. If he had any chance of convincing her that she, too, wanted to be naked and underneath him, then he had to play nice.

Nice now. Naughty later.

Yulia Tzakova is no stranger to dangerous men. She grew up with them. She survived them. But when she meets Lucas Kent, she knows the hard ex-soldier may be the most dangerous of them all.

One night—that’s all it should be. A chance to make up for a failed assignment and get information on Kent’s arms dealer boss. When his plane goes down, it should be the end.

Instead, it's just the beginning.

He wants her from the first moment he sees her.

Lucas Kent has always liked leggy blondes, and Yulia Tzakova is as beautiful as they come. The Russian interpreter might’ve tried to seduce his boss, but she ends up in Lucas’s bed—and he has every intention of seeing her there again.

Then his plane goes down, and he learns the truth.

She betrayed him.

Now she will pay.

It’s a long novella/short novel of approximately 45,000 words (about 200 pages) and is a spin-off from the Twist Me trilogy. It’s not necessary to have read that trilogy to enjoy Capture Me, but the book does contain major spoilers for books 2 and 3 of Twist Me.

~Excerpt~
Author’s Note: This is from Yulia’s POV. For those of you familiar with the Twist Me series, this scene takes place in Moscow, when Lucas & Julian were there to meet with the Russian officials.

He steps into my apartment as soon as the door swings open. No hesitation, no greeting—he just comes in.

Startled, I step back, the short, narrow hallway suddenly stiflingly small. I’d somehow forgotten how big he is, how broad his shoulders are. I’m tall for a woman—tall enough to fake being a model if an assignment calls for it—but he towers a full head above me. With the heavy down jacket he’s wearing, he takes up almost the entire hallway.

Still not saying a word, he closes the door behind him and advances toward me. Instinctively, I back away, feeling like cornered prey.

“Hello, Yulia,” he murmurs, stopping when we’re out of the hallway. His pale gaze is locked on my face. “I wasn’t expecting to see you like this.”

I swallow, my pulse racing. “I just took a bath.” I want to seem calm and confident, but he’s got me completely off-balance. “I wasn’t expecting visitors.”

“No, I can see that.” A faint smile appears on his lips, softening the hard line of his mouth. “Yet you let me in. Why?”

“Because I didn’t want to continue talking through the door.” I take a steadying breath. “Can I offer you some tea?” It’s a stupid thing to say, given what he’s here for, but I need a few moments to compose myself.

He raises his eyebrows. “Tea? No, thanks.”

“Then can I take your jacket?” I can’t seem to stop playing the hostess, using politeness to cover my anxiety. “It looks quite warm.”

Amusement flickers in his wintry gaze. “Sure.” He takes off his down jacket and hands it to me. He’s left wearing a black sweater and dark jeans tucked into black winter boots. The jeans hug his legs, revealing muscular thighs and powerful calves, and on his belt, I see a gun sitting in a holster.

Irrationally, my breathing quickens at the sight, and it takes a concerted effort to keep my hands from shaking as I take the jacket and walk over to hang it in my tiny closet. It’s not a surprise that he’s armed—it would be a shock if he wasn’t—but the gun is a stark reminder of who Lucas Kent is.

What he is.

It’s no big deal, I tell myself, trying to calm my frayed nerves. I’m used to dangerous men. I was raised among them. This man is not that different. I’ll sleep with him, get whatever information I can, and then he’ll be out of my life.

Yes, that’s it. The sooner I can get it done, the sooner all of this will be over.

Closing the closet door, I paste a practiced smile on my face and turn back to face him, finally ready to resume the role of confident seductress.

Except he’s already next to me, having crossed the room without making a sound.

My pulse jumps again, my newfound composure fleeing. He’s close enough that I can see the gray striations in his pale blue eyes, close enough that he can touch me.

And a second later, he does touch me.

Lifting his hand, he runs the back of his knuckles over my jaw.

I stare up at him, confused by my body’s instant response. My skin warms and my nipples tighten, my breath coming faster. It doesn’t make sense for this hard, ruthless stranger to turn me on. His boss is more handsome, more striking, yet it’s Kent my body’s reacting to. All he’s touched thus far is my face. It should be nothing, yet it’s intimate somehow.

Intimate and disturbing.

I swallow again. “Mr. Kent—Lucas—are you sure I can’t offer you something to drink? Maybe some coffee or—” My words end in a breathless gasp as he reaches for the tie of my robe and tugs on it, as casually as one would unwrap a package.

“No.” He watches as the robe falls open, revealing my naked body underneath. “No coffee.”

BOOK REVIEW: Bossy by Kim Linwood

~Synopsis~

It’s a dirty job, but someone’s got to do him.

One night only. No promises, no regrets. He was rich, ripped, inked up, and gone in the morning. I didn't even know his name. Not until I read it off the door on my first day at work.

See, I don't do bad boys, I don't do troublemakers and I sure as heck didn't graduate college with a 3.9 GPA by screwing around.

I was never supposed to see him again, but now he's my new boss, as sexy in a suit as he was between my sheets.

And my new stepbrother.

Having him was a slice of Heaven. Working for him could mean selling my soul. But if the devil looks like Declan Riordan, Hell might be worth the burn.

~Book Review~
4.5 Stars

Claire Anderson doesn’t expect to ever see again the tattooed hunk who left her bed before she woke up after a night of off the charts sex.

Declan Riordan makes no promises so he doesn’t disappoint like Claire’s two-timing ex. His MO is one night stands. Well except for the feisty red-head he can’t get out of his head.

Color them both shocked to see each other again on Claire’s first day at work for an internship at her soon-to-be stepfather’s legal firm.
“‛As it turns out, we’ve bumped into each other a few times, but just never been formally introduced.’” — Declan
The story is easy to get into— the descriptions colorful, the writing witty, and both characters quite likeable.  Despite his sometimes arrogant and headstrong persona, Declan is a “badass knight in shining Armani.”  He’s certainly confident and alpha, but the story, told via Declan and Claire’s alternating first person POV, helps the reader see the sometimes misunderstood Declan as a fairly upstanding guy underneath even when Claire isn’t so sure.
“I still can’t tell if he’s a nice guy with moments of jerk, or a jerk with moments of nice.” —Claire
The two have plenty of entertaining banter and comical innuendo.
“‛I can already tell you’ll be well qualified for whatever position I put you in.’” — Declan
And Claire is no wall flower; she’s able to give as good as she gets.

There’s a lot of fun in this story as Claire and Declan embark on a not-so-innocent game of professional pranks, behaving like the ornery stepsiblings they’re about to become. Step-sibling books have become all the rage, but they’re hardly taboo anymore so I adore the ones that don’t take themselves too seriously and instead make a comedic play on the premise like this one.

I could have done a bit without the OM drama in the form of a creepy ex subplot. But I give major points to both Claire and Declan for staying true to their characters and not caving to the pressures. If they were weaker characters it could have gone a totally different way and I’m glad it didn’t, nor did it overpower the main story.  Still one of the things I so adored about the author’s previous book Rebel was the lack of clichĂ©d jealous schemers, and I honestly thought Claire and Declan were entertaining enough without throwing in this often contrived romance plot device. But I suppose it does serve as a means to an end, and in the end, it ties together well as all their dramas and perceived obstacles come full circle with Declan doing the hero thing in his own Declan way.

All in all, a funny, light-hearted, sexy romance. HEA w/an epilogue though I wished the epilogue was just a tad longer as the pair made a great couple and Declan was pretty delectable!

BOOK REVIEW: More than Kisses by Renee Ericson

~Synopsis~

A night with five of their closest friends was all that Evelyn and Foster had planned for when they decided to take part in a holiday progressive dinner party. However, when an unexpected guest makes an appearance and throws Evelyn off her game, it’s up to Foster to bring her back to her senses. His plan involves a little more than kisses.

A More Than Water short story complete with sexy times and a hair fetish, told from the dual POV of Evelyn and Foster.

GOODREADS

~Book Review~
5 Stars

Author Renee Ericson has dedicated this one to everyone that wanted more Fozzie and EJ from More Than Water and she certainly delivers, though I think I now want more of them at every holiday if it’s a delight like this.  Valentine’s Day, Renee? Please, please.

So this short story finds Evelyn and Foster getting ready to spend the evening with friends for the holidays.  It starts off with their characteristic sexy-nerdy banter that had me smiling and laughing.
“‛How about it made it aerodynamic? I could have sworn I took a ride to space and saw stars on more than one occasion.’”
“‛Just don’t ever wave me in for a landing.’”
“‛Why not?...I want you sitting firmly in the cockpit.’”
For the record, that’s EJ talking about Foster’s penis.  And his penis certainly comes into play in this hilariously sexy holiday adventure.

A dinner party faux pas gives EJ a little more than an eyeful, sending her mind reeling, but the ever-adorable Fozzie knows how to bring EJ back to earth.  (It’s funny; that’s all I’m gonna say.)
“I’ll make her think about my dick. She seems fond of it.”
Oh Foster, if you could only clone yourself. There should be so many more book boyfriends like you.

EJ needs to clear her head and a night of clandestine foreplay does just the trick. While I can thankfully say I’ve never had a real life moment like EJ’s, I have had a few too many fictional scenarios that I’d love to wipe clean from my brain so I still related.  But there are no brain bleach moments here. In fact, both More Than Water and More Than Kisses make wonderful “distractions,” gracing the reader with many smile-inducing memories.  There really needs to be more contemporary romances like these.

Series: Black Addiction #1
Genre: Rock Star Romance
Cover Design: Hang Le
 Release Date: November 16, 2015

~Blurb~

Touring as an opening act for a huge rock band and landing a record contract means you’ve hit the big time, right?

Sadly, neither of those things gave Rusty Crawford, lead guitarist of the band Black Addiction, worldwide fame and fortune. Which was a shame because he had the lifestyle down to a fine art—without the clichĂ©d stint in rehab.

Even being back in the Bronx, paying his dues didn’t rattle the charismatic axe man, ladies loved him and men wanted to be him. Fate would just have to catch up. Seemed like fate had more than just a platinum album planned for his future.

Alison Williams had the perfect life. Or at least she did until her world came crashing down around her, in the most epic way.

With her future no longer a certainty she finds herself out of her comfort zone and into unchartered territory—a place where Rusty Crawford likes to spend most of his time.

Will the charming and ridiculously hot rock god help her find her feet, or send her further down the rabbit hole? One thing was for sure; both of them were in for the ride of their lives.

T Gephart is an indie author from Melbourne, Australia.

T's approach to life has been somewhat unconventional. Rather than going to University, she jumped on a plane to Los Angeles, USA in search of adventure. While this first trip left her somewhat underwhelmed and largely depleted of funds it fueled her appetite for travel and life experience.

With a rather eclectic resume, which reads more like the fiction she writes than an actual employment history, T struggled to find her niche in the world.

While on a subsequent trip the United States in 1999, T met and married her husband. Their whirlwind courtship and interesting impromptu convenience store wedding set the tone for their life together, which is anything but ordinary. They have lived in Louisiana, Guam and Australia and have traveled extensively throughout the US. T has two beautiful young children and one four legged child, Woodley, the wonder dog.

An avid reader, T became increasingly frustrated by the lack of strong female characters in the books she was reading. She wanted to read about a woman she could identify with, someone strong, independent and confident and who didn't lack femininity. Out of this need, she decided to pen her first book, A Twist of Fate. T set herself the challenge to write something that was interesting, compelling and yet easy enough to read that was still enjoyable. Pulling from her own past "colorful" experiences and the amazing personalities she has surrounded herself with, she had no shortage of inspiration. With a strong slant on erotic fiction, her core characters are empowered women who don't have to sacrifice their femininity. She enjoyed the process so much that when it was over she couldn't let it go.

T loves to travel, laugh and surround herself with colorful characters. This inevitably spills into her writing and makes for an interesting journey - she is well and truly enjoying the ride!

Based on her life experiences, T has plenty of material for her books and has a wealth of ideas to keep you all enthralled.

~Book Review~
4 Stars

This step-sibling romance is the story of Motocross racer Chris King and his PR rep step-sister Emily. It’s actually a story of second chance love because Chris and Emily have a history that starts before they were ever step-siblings.

Told via both Chris and Emily’s first person POVs, the story alternates between the present and their teenage years to reveal the back story of their relationship—their complicated relationship. I enjoyed their back story quite a bit. There were places where it could have been executed a little deeper or more fully, but overall it does add depth to their characters. It also provides a few twists along the way that kept the story entertaining.

I have to say, my first impression of Chris didn’t put him on any book boyfriend lists for me. The reader is introduced to him on the verge of getting a blow job just before a race. Inwardly I groaned, and not for the same reasons he might have been groaning. I’m not really sure when this type of introduction to the H became romantic, but it turned me off. And the girl he’s with…well she’s pretty eye roll worthy. On top of that Chris refers to himself as a whore and says he likes to “bang.” Immature was a fitting adjective to describe him in the beginning.

Emily, on the other hand, I liked her spunk right off the bat. She did her best to cope with him, and she wasn’t a doormat. Thankfully, Chris pulls his head out of his ass and steps up his game. He definitely grows as a character, wanting to become a better person, and becomes pretty likable by the end.

There’s some cute banter between them:
“‛I have a Kit Kat in my desk.’”—Emily
“‛I have a Milky Way in my pants.’” —Chris
And then things heat up to some super sexy descriptive scenes. These two were definitely on fire together.
“‛You coming or do you want me to pull out my Milky Way to make you come?’” —Chris
While this actually started out as more of a 3 star rating for me (see immature man-whore issues above), as it progressed it picked up and I was rooting for them to be together. Their history actually helped a lot, softening his rough edges a bit, and I gave Chris major points for ditching his promiscuous ways and becoming a one-woman man, the woman he truly cared about all along.

Bastard is a stand-alone, HEA. Chris’s one brother is featured in a previous trilogy entitled Possessed. There is a scene or two where his brother’s story seems to be referenced.

~Excerpt~
(Mature Content/18+ Readers)

He leans back, his lips red from kissing me, and dear fucking god, they look suckable.

“Fuck, you’re so beautiful,” he rasps, making me blush. “Don’t hide from me, Em. I wanna feel your skin. See you without anything between us.” With his index finger, he tips up my chin. “I want all of you.” He leans in and presses a deep, toe-curling kiss on my lips. “Give me all of you, Em. Everything.”

Oh god, why’d he have to say such a thing? I don’t know how to respond.

“I—”

He places a finger on my lips. “Don’t say a word. I’ll show you how good it can be.”

He plants another kiss on my lips, eliciting my lips to move up with him as we separate. Damn, why do I want this so much? I’m addicted to his taste, his touch.

I let him sweep me off my feet, I admit. I have no defense anymore, all my barriers are down, and I live at the moment, clinging to his lips like it’s my source of energy. This isn’t me. I don’t let guys get close so quickly, but this is Chris, and he’s gotten me deep … deep in trouble.

My hardened nipples rub against his shirt as he lowers me onto the table, kissing his way down my chest. My breath hitches in my throat as he licks my nipple, circling around the crown, teasing the peak. His delicious kisses burn me to my core, and when his fingers travel down my body to my panties, they’re completely soaked.

“Like this?” he groans, taking my nipple into his mouth, sucking hard.

My body arches to meet him, desperate for more. I dare not say the words that come to mind; fuck, yes. I feel ashamed to admit it, but I’m letting myself fall for his seduction. Hard.

“Don’t worry, babe. I’m going to give you everything you need.” He pops the button of my jeans, rips down my zipper, and takes it all off as if it comes easily to him. His mouth has my mind spinning, distracting me, but not enough for me not to notice his hand disappearing into my panties. When his fingers slide over my pussy, I gasp, my clit thumping with need.

“Did you ever fantasize about this, Em? Did you ever think about me taking you hard and fast on this table right here?”

I whimper as he rubs my clit, his fingers sliding down my wetness, coating me entirely.

He chuckles. “No need to answer … I already know.”

“What?” I mumble, lost in delirium.

“Your pussy is begging me to make it come,” he murmurs, and then he gently tugs my nipple with his teeth, causing me to moan out loud. “But maybe your pussy hasn’t deserved it after making me so jealous I almost punched a guy,” he growls, and then he rips down my panties in one go.

His smile is deviously sexy as I look down at him, and I’m still trying to decide whether to jab him in the face or let him fuck me until I’m drunk on love.

He grins, licking his upper lip agonizingly slow as if to show me how much he has my body under his control. “But I also know you and I want this too much.”

“You can get jealous all you want, but this pussy only belongs to one person and that’s me,” I retort.

“Oh … we’ll see about that.” His gruff voice drags, heating me up from the inside out.

Suddenly, his hands grip my waist and he lowers himself off the table, between my legs. My eyes widen as his nose dips close, sniffing my scent. After a second, he growls, “Mine.”

REVIEW/RELEASE BLITZ: Bastard by J.L. Perry

~Blurb~

My name is Carter Reynolds. I was born a bastard and I’ll die a bastard. I learnt it at a young age, and nothing and nobody can change that. I’m on a one-way path of destruction, and god help anyone who gets in my way. I hate my life. Actually, I hate pretty much everything.

That’s until I meet the kid next door. Indi-freakin’-ana. My dislike for her is instant. From the moment I lay eyes on her, she ignites something within me. She makes me feel things I thought I was incapable of feeling. I don’t like it, not one bit. When she looks at me with her big, beautiful, haunting, green eyes, it’s like she can see into the depths of my soul. It freaks me the hell out. She’s like sunshine and rainbows in my world of gloom and doom. I hate sunshine and rainbows.

I’m Indiana Montgomery, my friends call me Indi. Despite losing my mum at the age of six, I have a wonderful life and great friends. My dad more than makes up for the fact that I only have one parent. I’m his little girl, the centre of his world. I adore him.

When Carter Reynolds moves in next door, my life takes a turn for the worse. He’s gorgeous—sinfully hot, but that’s where my compliments end. He seems hell bent on making my life miserable. He acts tough, but when I look into his eyes I don’t see it. I see hurt and pain. To me, he seems lost.

I should hate him for the way he treats me, but surprisingly I don’t. If anything, I feel sorry for him. I want to help him find peace. Help him find the light that I know is buried somewhere within his darkness, but, he won’t have a bar of it.

He’s warned me time and time again to stay away, but I can’t. I’m drawn to him for some reason. He’s always referring to himself as a bastard. That may be true, but to me, he’s more like a beautifully, misunderstood bastard. Whether he likes it or not, I refuse to give up on him.

~Book Review~
2.5/3 Stars

This is the story of Carter Reynolds who has let the label “Bastard” define him since he was five. I’ll be honest, while I felt bad for Carter at times I also felt that he contributed to his own hardships in the first part of the story so my sympathies were limited. In some ways, Indiana Montgomery is an amazing person because she believes in him when he doesn’t. She’s a pretty likable heroine—strong and doesn’t take his crap. Her backbone, their chemistry, and the dynamics between them in the beginning helped keep me reading when I was otherwise ready to bail on the story.

There were two main issues that kept me from closing this book with a good feeling. Initially, it was all the references to the H with OW in the first half, and then it was the depressing nature of the second half. While the blurb describes Indie as “sunshine and rainbows in my world of gloom and doom,” that’s a little misleading given the direction the plot eventually takes.

Overall, this is a book for angst lovers, which admittedly I’m not. I found that every time Indie and Carter seemed to be getting on track and their romance was developing, the flames were doused with some kind of hardship that varied from things that could totally been avoided to things that mimicked a plot on daytime TV. As a result, by a certain point I was losing interest.

The rating was difficult to settle on because this is probably one of those rollercoaster of emotions book. So I’ll explain by saying that it was a 3 stars read for me because the characters had a lot of potential and the story ends on a very positive note with an epilogue. But in significant parts it was 2.5 stars read because their relationship in the beginning was not exclusive and because of the depressing subject matter in the later half. I don’t enjoy books that drag me down; I look for reads that are a pleasant escape and while it ends well, there was just too much angst for my tastes.

Told via Carter and Indie’s alternating first person point of view, Bastard is a stand-alone, no cliffhanger, HEA.

~Excerpt~
Leaning forward, so my face is only inches from hers, I say, “I can see that.” Her pupils dilate and I hear her breath hitch. I immediately know my effect on her hasn’t diminished either. It takes everything in me not to pull her into my arms and squeeze the fucking life out of her. Why did I leave it so long to see her? Just being near her again, makes me feel alive. “It’s good to see you again, Indi.”

“Well, the feeling’s not mutual,” she says. She’s lying, I can tell. Her body language is saying the complete opposite to her words. She’s still a stubborn arse I see. My eyes leave hers, gazing down at her lips. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve dreamt of those lips over the past five years. Too many to count. I want to kiss her so bad my fucking chest aches. I let my eyes drop a little lower. First I see is the necklace I bought her. I can’t believe she’s still wearing it. It has me smiling like a damn fool. You have no idea what seeing that means to me.

I watch her chest rise and fall as her breathing quickens. She can deny it all she wants, but she’s affected by me. “My eyes are up here, buddy,” she spits. I want to laugh at her comment. I love her smart mouth. I’m glad this part of our relationship hasn’t changed.

Underneath the material of her white top, I can see a hint of her white lace bra covering the swell of her breast. It gives me an idea. I can’t help myself. I lift the sponge in my hand until it’s hovering over her tits. I hear her gasp when she realises what I’m about to do. I clench my fist tight, the water drips out. It soaks into the fabric of her top, making it transparent. Her nipples harden and so does my cock. Christ. I haven’t even touched her yet, and I swear I could break diamonds with this fucker.

Peeling my gaze from her spectacular rack, I make eye contact with her again. I’m feeling quite pleased with myself, but that feeling doesn’t last long. The anger I see in her eyes is not what I’m expecting. When did she lose her sense of humour? I guess I should’ve known from past experience, when it comes to her, I’m playing with fire. Especially since she has five years of pent up anger inside her, towards me.

This is one time I’m not anticipating her next move. So when it comes, I’m totally taken by surprise. She raises her right leg slightly, and then ‘BOOM’. She knees me fair smack in the nuts. Hard. Jesus fucking Christ.

All the air gushes from my lungs as pain radiates through my whole body. My dick goes instantly limp. Fuck, I think she just killed it. I’m pretty sure my boys are now lodged somewhere in my throat.

A feral, high pitched sound escapes me as I fall to my knees in agony. “Stay the fuck away from me arsehole,” she spits, as she turns and runs inside.

Somebody call an ambulance, I think I’m gonna die.
