RELEASE BLITZ: When Stars Collide by Micalea Smeltzer

Series: Light in the Dark #2
Genre: New Adult

~Blurb~

We were like two stars orbiting each other—dancing around the possibility that one day we might collide. When we finally did, we opened up a black hole, obliterating everything around us. No one would be the same.

Least of all, us.

Waking up in Vegas married to the guy of your dreams sounds like a good thing, right? Not when you’re Thea Montgomery and said guy is your brother’s best friend.

Thea and Xander have always avoided the connection between them because her brother would never approve. Now, they’re married— the strongest bond you can have as a couple—and they’re not even a real couple…unless they want to be.

Thea wants an annulment immediately, but Xander’s waited too long to see her become his and he won’t let her go easily.

If she wants a divorce, fine, but he wants the summer to convince her that he’s the one. If at the end of the summer she still wants to end their marriage he’ll sign the papers, but until then…

All is not fair in love and war.

~Excerpt~
Unedited and subject to change.

Holy mother of all hangovers.

I’d succumbed to the lure of Vegas and gotten completely wasted. Granted, that’s what everyone did in Las Vegas but I like to think I usually have more sense than the social norm.

I rub my eyes and blink them open. The hotel room comes into formation around me. The walls are a warm golden color and the flat screen on the wall plays some home improvement show. I can see the bathroom from the bed, the tiled walls and large soaking tub.

I roll over onto my side, hoping I can sleep off the hangover, and reel back.

“Oh my God,” I cry, flailing in bed.

My legs kick the sleeping guy beside me.

Not just any sleeping guy.

Oh no.

Xander Kincaid, my brother’s best friend, lays in the bed beside me.

His dark hair tumbles over his forehead and his cheeks are covered with several days worth of scruff. His chest is bare and…holy shit. He’s naked.

I look down.

Oh God, I’m naked too.

“What’s wrong?” He asks, reaching his left hand out to pull me closer to him. That’s when I see it.

“Is that a wedding band?” I scream shrilly.

His eyes narrow. “You don’t fucking remember?”

I shake my head and look at my own hand. A thin silver band rests on my finger. “What did we do?”

He sits up in bed and I try to ignore how adorably rumpled he looks with his hair sticking up.

Everything begins flooding back to me in quick bursts.

Drinks.

Kissing.

Laughter.

Confessions of love and desire.

A wedding chapel.

Vows.

Rings.

A contract.

“We’re married,” I whisper. “Holy shit.” It’s all I’ve ever wanted—to be with Xander, but not like this. Never like this. “My brother is going to kill us.”

I’ve been told I have quite a gift.

Hey, I don’t just mean in my pants. I’ve got a big brain too, and a huge heart of gold. And I like to use all my gifts to the fullest, the package included. Life is smooth sailing....

Until I find myself stuck between a rock and a sexy roommate, which makes for one very hard…place.

Because scoring an apartment in this city is harder than finding true love. So even if I have to shack up with my buddy’s smoking hot and incredibly amazing little sister, a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do.

I can resist Josie. I’m disciplined, I’m focused, and I keep my hands to myself, even in the mere five-hundred square feet we share. Until the one night she insists on sliding under the covers with me. It’ll help her sleep after what happened that day, she says.

Surprise—neither one of us sleeps.

And even though we agree to return to roomies-without-benefits, I quickly realize I want more than someone to split the utilities with. Now all I want is to spend every night—and every day—with my gorgeous roommate.

Did I mention she’s also one of my best friends? That she’s brilliant, beautiful and a total firecracker?
Guess that makes her the full package too.

What’s a man stuck in a hard place to do?

I’m at your service. Come and ride on my Joy Stick…

Don’t worry. I absolutely do my best work dirty…both in the shop, and between the sheets. Work and play — that’s what my life has been, and I f&*king love it. I’m completely, 100% driven. Until one woman comes along and throws a wrench in my plans. The one woman I should absolutely, positively never take for a joy ride.

COVER REVEAL: Blended by Sasha Brümmer

Standalone Series Title: A Redemption Novel
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: September 19, 2016

~Blurb~

Clichéd sentiments of love are not my thing. Instead, I give into raw temptation and thrive on the physical aspects of what men have to offer. Unemotional, carnal connections are what I live for, and they seem to keep me in a blissfully naïve state.

I’ve gone years with a different man in a different bed each night, but one glance from a ruminating stranger as he lifts my panties to his nose narrows my attraction from multiple men to only one.

I’m not entirely sure how to process the thoughts and passions battling in my mind until he gives me no other choice…until I’m thrust into an unstable emotional high that I cannot seem to resist.

His objective is to break me in and savor me as if I’m his favorite bottle of single malt whiskey.

I’m well aware of my sensual dependencies. He’s unaware that his still exist.

RELEASE BLITZ: No Regrets by Jess Bryant

Series: Bomar Boys #1
Genre: Contemporary Romance

~Blurb~

Every small town has that one family that’s more savage than civilized. The ones that are more myth and legend than man. In Old Settlers, Oklahoma that’s the Bomar boys. Wild, reckless and vicious, they skirt the line of criminal and trip over it more often than not. They are their own punchline: white trash but proud beyond compare. Dirty and dangerously sexy, it’s best to steer clear of them or else risk your life… and your heart. These are their stories.

Jemma Buxton was running scared. She’s running home. But she had no idea she was running straight into his arms.

Fleeing an abusive relationship, she left everything behind. Her life. Her hopes. Her dreams. But not her heart. She wants to move on, start over and love again, but can she trust the first boy she ever loved with her bruised heart when he’s already broken it once?

Cash Bomar never thought he would see her again. Never thought she would come back to their tiny, backwoods town. Not after he cruelly and purposefully broke her heart and all but sent her away five years ago.

Seeing her again is the surprise of a lifetime and the fact that she needs his help is the second chance he never expected to make things right. All his life he’s been told he was nothing but bad, worthless and white trash, but she makes him want to be better. Can he convince the only girl he’s ever let close, ever loved, that she was always meant to be his?

They both have pasts they wish they could change. A history together they’ll have to overcome. Can they build a future together without a lifetime of regrets?

*No Regrets is the first book in the Bomar Boys series but can be read as a stand-alone. Each book features one couple and a HEA but will build on each other so they are best read in order.

**Warning** - This book contains explicit language, sexual scenes and violence. Though not depicted, mentions of domestic violence are key to the story and can be a trigger for some.

REVIEW/RELEASE BLITZ: You Don't Know Me by Georgia Le Carre

Youdon'tknowmebanner
~Synopsis~

Tasha
I knew Noah Abramovich was trouble the first time our eyes locked. I was sixteen that summer. Sitting by the pool eating an ice-cream I can still remember how it melted over my fingers and dripped onto my thighs as I stared back at him. It wasn't just his Greek god looks, the animalistic Alpha attitude, or his tall, powerful muscled body - it was the aura around him that screamed, Don't fuck with me.

At sixteen I wanted him with the passion of a woman, but mine was a world of unwritten rules. Rules that are worth more than a man's life. I didn't need anyone to tell me that he was everything I could not have.

He never looked at me again, but I watched him from afar. I could tell there were deep secrets that kept his smile hidden. Dark and mysterious he seemed to fear no one, not even my father. A man he should have. One I feared greatly. As the years passed, the afternoon when time stilled became as unreal as a dream.

I am twenty-two now and in six months I will be married to a man my father chose. I will do my duty and bring respectability to my father's dynasty, but before I give myself to that man, I must have a taste of the forbidden. Just one night with the man of my darkest fantasies, so I don't lie on my deathbed, and regret that I never reached out and took the one thing I wanted most in life.

But will it heal or destroy me?

Noah.
In the Mafia world, your past is never far behind. If you are careless, it seeps into your future and gets you killed. Just when I had fooled myself into believing I'd stepped away from it all, it suddenly appeared in my office.

Tasha Evanoff: She is what original sin must have looked like. Blonde, beautiful, voluptuous, and with secretive sapphire eyes that see right into my tainted soul.
She comes offering one bite of the red apple.

If I had any sense I'd shut the door on her, and send her back to her father, a psychopath of the highest degree. But that's not who I am. If the pretty princess has the courage to walk into the lion's den, I'm sure as fuck not going to pass on a challenge. I'll take one bite of her apple. Why the fuck wouldn't I? I've been lusting after it for years. Right here, right now, she is in my world, and she'll damn well play by my rules.

She thinks everything will go back to what it was before, but I know what she doesn't. You can never have just one night of raw passion. The body will always crave more.

Will she submit to her body's desires or to her father's?

You Don't Know Me E-Book Cover
~Book Review~
3.5 Stars

Noah Abramovich is a former mobster. Tasha Evanoff is a mafia princess. While they basically exist in the same crime riddled world, they come from very different sides of it. And because Tasha’s father wants her to advance to royalty in that world, he has her betrothed to a creep much like himself, rather than Noah who Tasha secretly desires.
“The Princess wants to be a slut for one night. And the person she has chosen is me. I lean back in my chair and let my eyes roll all over her. Well, well, well. All that untouchable beauty just laid out for me to soil and dishonor.”
This is a tale of forbidden love in the mafia world after one night isn’t enough, and the pair must decide if their attraction to each other is worth taking the deadly risks. The opening scene was intriguing and perked my interest in the characters as we’re introduced to the pristine, sheltered girl propositioning the bad boy for a risky exchange. Unfortunately, I never quite felt they developed far enough from those stereotypes.  Tasha really was naïve it seemed when it came to the dangerous, chauvinistic world around her, although she does get a rude awakening that empowers her to finally revolt. And Noah, well while we’re told Noah is a bad ass, it still felt like more tell than show. Noah certainly had potential, but I just craved a little more. Then again, I have not read the previous books that Noah appeared in so perhaps that makes a difference.

Told via Tasha and Noah’s alternating first person point of view, the pair engages in some dirty stolen moments.
“I commit to memory the dirty image of Tasha, no longer a Princess, but horny, slutty, her leg cocked over my dick, and out-of-control sexy.”
Most romance readers will enjoy the steam factor in this one. I have to admit though, I was totally spoiled by Georgia LeCarre’s novel, Masquerade—one of the best, dirty talking alpha hero I’ve possibly encountered so the, ah, pillow talk in this one didn’t come off nearly as smooth or fitting.

All in all, it’s an okay story. No major issues but nothing original either. It’s fairly similar to some other mafia romance-adventure reads. This is pretty light on the suspense and minimally dark. I will warn though, if you are a reader that has issues with animal abuse, you might want to sit this one out as it could be a trigger for some readers. Otherwise, the story is safe and thankfully the OM drama is minimal which keeps the romance plot on track.

~Excerpt~
She reaches out a hand and unbuttons my shirt, exposing my chest. Her pale finger, the nail painted pearly pink, traces the tattoo of a roaring tiger on my chest.

Oskal (bared teeth) You were a thief,’ she breathes.

I don’t say anything. My tattoos tell their own tale of bloodshed, violence, and the unspoken moral code of my past. My time of treading a fine line between life and death. The punishment for getting a tattoo you have not earned is severe so they work as my CV, and being the daughter of a mafia king she can read each letter and design like a language.

She undoes the rest of the buttons on my shirt, pulls the shirttails out, and slips it off me. I watch her eyes hungrily take in the width of me, before her eyes alight on the tattoo of an epaulette inked onto my right shoulder.

‘High ranking,’ she whispers.

She rises to her tiptoes and kisses me right on the skull in the middle of the epaulette. It is a gesture of approval. She knows it signifies that I am not, or will ever be a slave to anyone.

I stand as still as a statue when she touches the rose. So many memories come crowding back. No other woman has touched it quite the same way. It is Delilah holding Samson’s hair.

‘You spent your eighteenth birthday in prison,’ she notes. Her voice grave.

Then her finger delicately trails the blade of a dagger. ‘You have taken life.’ She touches the drops of blood as she counts aloud the lives I have taken. ‘One, two, three, four …’ There are more drops, but she doesn’t go on. She looks up at me, our gazes touch, and she exhales a long breath. It sounds like regret or pain.

She walks around the back and looks at the massive tattoo of the Madonna and Child surrounded by saints and angels. In the background a cathedral. It is a thieves’ talisman. I know I am a sinner but protect me, guide me, bring me luck.

‘So … you were a thief from an early age,’ she deciphers. I feel her breath warm on my back.

‘Fifteen,’ I say quietly.

‘Mmmm.’ She lays her palm on my back and I close my eyes at the incredible softness of her skin.

She reads aloud the Russian words. Oh Lord, forgive me for the tears of my mother.

I twist around and grab her wrist. ‘That’s enough.’

Something flashes in her eyes, but it’s not fear.

‘So now you know all about me,’ I say. ‘What is there to know about Tasha Evanoff?’

‘There is only one thing you need to know about me. Tonight I am yours.’

I love to write about strong, possessive, dominant hero's and sassy, smart heroines. My characters range from hot, dominant billionaires, to strong, powerful gangsters, and all kinds of bad boy's in between.

I am the bestselling author of the Amazon #1 bestsellers, You Don't Own Me 1 & 2 (The Russian Don series), the Billionaire Banker series and the Crystal Jake complete Eden series. You'll find my books packed with thrills, suspense and of course lots, and lots of steam.

I live in a little old 19th century romantic cottage, surrounded by the most magical garden, filled with fruit and walnut trees and teeming with wildlife.

Sadly for me I love all things chocolate and food and have a voracious appetite for Romance reads, particularly new authors with a fresh voice.

When I am not feeding words into Amy, my precious laptop, I can be found lost in a long walk in the woods, particularly on moonlit nights; and often with the man of my dreams.

~Excerpt~
“Excuse me?”

She jumps at the sound of my voice, giving me a faint smile that strengthens my resolve to talk to her.

I stick out my hand. “Hi, I’m Brett.” She takes it, timid but firm.

“Mia.”

“At risk of sounding like a creeper, we’ve been following each other since Charlotte.” I lean against the gas pump. Mia takes a look around me and her smile grows.

“You’re right.”

I run my hand through my hair. “I’m going inside to grab a drink. May I get you something?”

She replaces the pump and tightens the gas cap on her car. “Are you trying to pick me up at a gas station?” The humor is dancing in her eyes.

“Well, yeah, I guess I am.” I shrug. “If we’re road tripping, probably not smart to take you to a bar.I mean, I know its not Starbucks, but--”

She brushes her long hair off her shoulder, the corner of her mouth twitching. “A cup of coffee would be great.”

I push off the pump station and turn to replace the pump. We lock our cars and walk toward the store.

“So Mia, where are you heading?”

“San Antonio. You?”

“Austin.”

Grabbing the door, she walks under my arm inside, leaving a trace of vanilla and cinnamon behind. I could breathe that in all day.

I follow her to the coffee machines, noticing her petite frame. Her arms are smaller than they should be and a worry I can’t explain overcomes me.

Without looking at me, she reaches for a coffee pot and pours the liquid into a small cup. “Austin, huh?” I watch her full lips blow the steam across the top and I have to remind myself that I’m in a public place.

“Yeah, looking for a new adventure.” Her eyebrows perk up. I grab a large coffee cup and rip open four sugar packets. Placing the cup under the instant coffee dispenser, I hit the button for the vanilla cappuccino. Out of the corner of my eye, she’s staring at me, mouth open.

“What?”

She blinks. “Nothing. It’s just…that’s a lot of sugar.” She giggles as I stare at my cup. “How do you even taste the coffee?”

She laughs even harder as I scrunch my face. “Ugh! Why would you want to taste that?” Her laugh is adorable and hearty. And contagious.

I stir my cup and lean against the counter. “Don’t judge my coffee.” Chuckles rumbling through my body.I take a sip and tip my head to the snack aisle.

“Hungry?”

“Drinks and dinner? You sure do spoil a girl on a first date.”

“I do what I can.”

We walk around the back side of a rack to the snack aisle. I immediately grab a bag of gummy worms and beef jerky. Mia’s bottom lip is clamped between her teeth, her shoulders twitching with a laugh.

“What?” I give her a glare. “Are you judging my food too?”

“I would never!” Her mock horror has me laughing along with her.

“Whatever. Beef jerky is healthy. It’s protein.”

Her eyes twinkle. “Whatever you say.”

“What are you going to have?”

“Oh, no. I’m good. Maybe just a bottle of water.”

I purse my lips in disbelief as she starts to walk towards the coolers. “Can you grab me one too?” I call. She whips her head around and nods, giving me a small smile that makes me want to stay in this gas station for a long time.

I finally decide on my snacks and realize that Mia isn’t back. I walk towards the coolers looking for her. Rounding the corner, I see her sitting on the floor next to a key chain display, laughing.

“What are you doing?” I squat next to her.

“Sorry, this caught my eye and I just kept reading them. Here.” She hands me one of the key chains. It says “Nothing like a good…” with a close up picture of a peach on it.

I chuckle as she laughs. “Well, they aren’t wrong.”

“I don’t know why I find that as funny as I do.”

I look up, noticing the trucker hats hanging on the wall. “If you think that’s funny—” I grab a red cap with a girl’s silhouette on it on all fours. “Booty hunter.”

Mia throws her head back as I model the hat. “That’s amazing. You look like that fits you perfectly.”

“Well, what can I say. I have a good aim, if you know what I mean.” I wink as her, sending her into another fit of giggles.

Standing up, she grabs a black one that says ‘I’d rather be F___ing.’

“Yep, this is the hat for me.” She adjusts it on her head and turns to model it, giving me the duck face.

“You’ll probably get some attention, that’s for sure.”

“Read the fine print, perv.”

I lean closer, that smell of cinnamon and vanilla wafting through my senses. “Fishing? Shit, got me.” She laughs, taking the hat off.

“God they have some tacky stuff in here.”

“You seem to be loving it.”

She nods. “Duh. How could you not?” She picks up her coffee and checks her watch. “We might want to get a move on. Burning daylight.”

“Are you sure you don’t want anything to eat?”

“Liquid diet right now.” She holds up the coffee.

“So I’ll be prepared to stop in thirty minutes when you have to pee?”

Mia pops my arm. “Or when your stomach turns on you.” She eyes my snack selection.

“I have a steel stomach, Doll.” I pat my stomach as she rolls her eyes.

Checking out, we walk back to our cars.

“I know this is weird, but can I get your number? If we’re heading the same way, might be nice to have someone to talk to.”

Mia nods. “I’d love that.” She hands me her phone as I hand her mine.

“Booty Hunter?” She laughs at the name I put in her phone. I look down at mine and laugh with her. “F***ing Mia? Classic.”

As she climbs into her car, I lean into her door frame. “Go on ahead, I’ll catch up with you. I forgot something in there.”

“Did you forget another candy bar?” Humor dances in her eyes as she teases me.

“Shut it.”

Nervously, she plays with her coffee sleeve. “I can just wait for you.”

I nod and stand back so she can close her door. “I’ll just be second.”

Running back in, I grab the two hats from the wall, along with the key chain. I don’t know why, but I want to collect as many key chains with her as I can.

I nod to her as I climb into my Jeep. I’ll surprise her with them later. An excuse to see her again.
